For all products the dosing and administration is proved on the package image for your information. We can provide some handy hints and tips to help.Cats, dogs and small mammals often have different needs and different conditions, combined with how they like to eat and what their personalities and habits are.
So our suggestion is to follow the directions of the Manufacturers as contained on the packaging. Cats can sometimes be picky eaters and at the best of times it is not easy to give them pills or introduce new flavours into their food. A tip can be to place on their paws in the case of liquids, or crush tablets or add small doses initially of any supplements. Changes in diet and compounds can sometimes cause digestive issues so please start slow!
In the case of HomeoPet their products can be used for small mammals and birds where the condition is present. Please carefully read the dosing instructions as dilution in water is an important factor.
For SMALL MAMMALS: such as rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, and pot-bellied pigs can be dosed by weight as for cats and dogs as listed on the dosing chart. For severe cases, a drop can be diluted in 1 ml of water or other oral rehydration fluid and given to the patient orally. e.g., two drops for a mouse or small bird, four drops for a large guinea pig in a dilution. For acute cases, it can be repeated as for cats and dogs, as listed on the dosing chart. As in all cases please ensure correct diagnosis and contact your veterinarian if the problem persists.
The products represented have a fantastic record of no side effects reported and substantial clinical case studies and research to ensure no side effects.
The products are designed to be used as needed, are safe for long term use and also suitable for short term use. It depends upon the condition of your pet - some conditions are longer term like kidney and liver issues, some are short term such as fear of thunderstorms. If you have any questions regarding acute and chronic conditions please reach out to us. Many pets around the world live on Augustine supplements, HomeoPet's treatments and Himalaya Pets herbal formulas for long and short term relief of symptoms associated with their health.
As always, please refer to the manufacturers instructions for use.
All products represented on this site are safe to use together, with pharmaceuticals or on their own.
There are no recorded drug interactions or side effects on the products on The Pet Health Store when used together or with conventional pharmaceuticals. Please contact the manufacturers if you have any specific questions.
From time to time the packaging and names of products may change as new production runs are completed each year. The updates are to comply with regulations, or to update to new branding or product names to be in line with worldwide harmonisation. The formulas are not changed and most of the products are patented and trademarked.
So rest assured that it is the product you know and love, just with a different presentation and may vary without notice. In Australia we also sometimes take stock from the manufacturer that has to be updated locally e.g. convert lbs to kgs in pet weight to make it more user friendly for our local customers or we supply overseas products in English that may need conversion to kgs. Please reach out if you need assistance with any conversions.
